It is worth the drive to Beloit, no matter the circumstances! The lady that took the reservations swore there were NO adjoining rooms left so I requested just one room with 2 double or queen beds. She had one of those so I booked it. When we got there on Friday night, she had us in a single and was going to then CHARGE US for a rollaway! Seriously!! We said no thanks and had people sleeping on the nasty floor instead. The next morning my husband made her give us a room with 2 beds. We had to leave for an all day wedding right after and never saw the room. Thinking we would get extra blankets and pillows when we got back that night. NOPE. The office was closed and no one would answer the guest services number. Oh but the room was an adjoining room....(that she had no more of). The room was disgusting. There was mold everywhere, the linoleum in the bathroom was peeling up, there were nasty water marks all over the bathroom ceiling. When I took my shoes off to get into bed, my socks actually got wet when I stepped on the carpet. Ewww. When I tried to talk to the lady at the desk the next day she was on the cell phone and wasn't going to talk to me so I made the comment that the room was really rather gross. And she flat said I was lying. All their rooms are very nice. I tried to discuss with her the problems with the room and she told me no one ever complains about their hotel so I must be nuts.
